Best place on earth

Orkar ej. Så nöjer mig med att säga att jag har det oförskämt bra och jag kommer nog aldrig hem till Sverige igen men sörj inte mina vänner för jag lever life and I am having the time of my life så vi hörs när jag inte är arg på denna bloggportal längre hejdå.

Long time no see

Hi there! Oh you thought I forgot about you? Don't worry, I haven't. But the internet access is as I told you before not very well, haha.
The past week has just flown by, but I have had amazing days. Last week we went on a road trip along the east coast and I had a blast. I mean safari, kayaking,
amazing food, visiting Monkeyland and surfing. God I miss that so much. Further, I've visited the Parklife Festival, started volunteering at the school, went into Cape Town
for smoothie and sunset, visited two different museums and Museum Night, played pool at a pub, worked at my non-existing tan and spent my Saturday night with a
bunch of lovely people. So yeah, Cape Town treats me well and I kind of feel that there is no place I'd rather be right now. Take care peeps!

Tänkte sammanfatta mina höjdpunkter från Kapstaden so far.

Cinema, hike and sushi

Hi there! What's up? I had a Friday off today so me and a friend from Holland decided to take an uber to Kirstenbosch and do some hiking.
The weather was perfect and the nature amazing. We walked for over three hours so no kidding my legs are dead at this very moment. However, it was so nice!
When we came home we went to two different internet cafes with one mission - download series from Netflix to offline mode. Unfortunately there was too many visitors
which meant the wifi couldn't put up with downloading. Tough luck. Anyway, joined the soup kitchen for an hour or two and after that I brought home some
sushi for dinner. Sushi and Orange is the new black, what else can you ask for a Friday evening?

The pictures above is from yesterday when bringing the kids to the cinema at Canal Walk. I had such a great time there! I watched Rings with the older kids and bought the biggest bucket of popcorn for lunch. Perfect day! And yeah, I slept the night through without nightmares. I am officially a cool kid now. Or adult. Or whatever.

Two things from Harrods

del här nere i Kapstaden.

Cape Town so far

What I appreciate the most?
Hm, I have to say this amazing nature, all the lovely people I've met, the kids I'm volunteering with and nonetheless the food which is beyond delicious.

Three things I've taken for granted in Sweden?
Constant internet connection, having my own bathroom and being able to walk outside alone after dusk.

What I think Sweden should learn from Cape Town?
To not stress twenty-four seven, being more talkative, open minded and nice to people regardless if they are strangers or not.

Three things I miss from Sweden?
A wide range of healthy cereals in the grocery store, our loyalty to time and tasty tap water.

What I've enjoyed the most so far?
Hanging out with all the kids in the park, climbing up Lion's Head and relaxing at Clifton 4:th Beach.

What I've learnt so far?
Appreciate what you have cause there are people who have nothing but themselves. Don't plan too much, live more day
by day and you'll be able to catch the day even more.

Things I'm looking forward to?
Our Holiday programme for the children, like bringing them to cinema and a theme park, a road trip together with 20 other students,
trying out more sushi places, getting a tan instead of this reddish skin tone and meeting new people.

Two things I'm grateful for?
How extremely generous and loving people I apparently know in the view of how much money I managed to fund-raise on Facebook and also
the fact that I am able to even do this trip and getting the privilege to meet all these amazing children.

First thing I'll do returning to Sweden in the end of May?
Hm, that'll probably be throwing a taco party and eating breakfast in my garden. And cuddle with Elsa and Milo.

Min lilla Milo

Best weekend ever

Hello my dear fellows! Hope you're doing well. Once again I ended up with the English keyboard, hence the writing in English.
Anyway, the weekend was amazing and I had nothing but a blast. I started my Saturday visiting a fantastic food market nearby Observatory. I have
never seen so much delicious food under the same roof. After the food market we were all set up for some beach time. So we took an uber and went to Clifton
4:th Beach, such a nice place! The water was ice cold though so I'll probably leave this country without dunking even once. Unfortunately I'm still a rookie when
it comes to applying sun screen so my hind legs and my ears are like all red everything. Well, I'll survive. Yesterday was spent at home during forenoon and
in the afternoon we went to hike and climb the Lion's Head. Gah that was like the worst yet the coolest thing I've ever done. It was so steep! And I'm far
from an experienced climber so yeah, sometimes I just feared for my life. But when reaching the top 700 metres above sea level it was all worth
it a hundred times over. End of story. Today's plans were cancelled due to rain so let's see what this Monday will offer!

Lite mer London-shopping
